SPORTSfever ANNOUNCES 2016 “GAME OF THE WEEK” SCHEDULE

19 GAMES INCLUDE NOV. 12 PSAC CHAMPIONSHIP/15 PSAC GAMES

(Marietta, Pa.): Gorden Blain, President of SPORTSfever TV, announced today that the SPORTSfever Television Network College Football “Game of the Week” will feature 15 games in the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) and culminate on Nov. 12, 2016 by televising the PSAC Title Game, hosted by the Western Division champ.

“We are excited to have put together an outstanding schedule of games from our participating universities in the PSAC, and especially to be announcing today that we will be airing the PSAC Championship game on November 12 through our network affiliates,” said Blain. “We had 1.3 million total viewers through our affiliates a year ago, more than double the number of viewers in 2014. We expect the PSAC brand to continue to benefit on a regional and national basis and for the audience to continue to climb. No NCAA Division II football conference has had more games air nationally by STN on ESPN3--28--the past two seasons than the PSAC.”

The season kicks off with HBCU rivalry game on Thursday, September 1 with Cheyney University visiting Lincoln University at 7pm. That game will mark SPORTSfever’s 100th collegiate production.

Crossover weekend on week #2 may feature the best “small college” lineup in the nation on Saturday, September 10 with a triple header that opens with a replay of the 2015 PSAC Championship Game when #9 Slippery Rock visits West Chester for a noon kickoff. SR defeated West Chester 61-12 in the title game a year ago.

Game two on September 10 has 2015 upstart Clarion, who finished the season 7-4, visiting PSAC-East power Bloomsburg in a 3pm kickoff, while the nightcap, starting at 6pm, has #4 ranked IUP traveling to East Stroudsburg, coached by legend Denny Douds, who begins his 43rd year as head coach of the Warriors and 51st at East Stroudsburg.

STN has televised 99 college football games since 2007 and its games have generated more than 5 million viewers. STN reaches more than 18 million households. Last year, with 17 live games and 16 additional replays, the SPORTSfever TV Network College football “Game of the Week” had 1.3 million viewers. In addition, ESPN3 has been a big addition to the live network, with games viewed in a variety of ways, including most hand held or portable devices as well as ESPN Game plan and more. The Millersville at Clarion game in 2015 had over 14,000 unique viewers alone.
